Dr Emma Larkin is the Project Manager for the Improving Children Lives initiative. Her role involves working closely with the ICL Chair, Deputy Chair, Management Committee, staff and students to oversee the day-to-day work of the initiative in accordance with its overall aims and goals. This includes: developing and implementing the ICL strategy; organising and coordinating key events; and ensuring broader coordination of work across posts and activities.

Emma is also a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Effective Education in Queen’s University where she is principal investigator on the evaluation of the effect of watching the television series Sesame Tree on young children’s attitudes and awareness. Her research interests include evaluation of school based interventions and outcomes for children in care.
