Dr Kareena McAloney joined ICL as the Research Fellow focusing on Longitudinal Research, and is based with Professor Carol McGuinness in the Cognition, Development and Education Research Cluster in the School of Psychology. She completed her undergraduate degree in Social Psychology at University of Ulster in 2002. Her PhD then focused on the relationship between religious residential segregation and intergroup contact in Northern Ireland with well-being and the role of social capital in group relations. Other research interests to date include secondary analysis of longitudinal data exploring adolescent risk-taking, substance use and deviancy.
